RUGBY
CLUB TO BENEFIT FROM JACK PETCHEY AWARD SCHEME
The
club has been accepted as part of the Jack Petchey award scheme
from the beginning of the new season. The Jack Petchey foundation
has been supporting schools and youth organisations in Essex and
London for a number of years. The award scheme enables youth organisations
to recognise the effort, endeavour and achievement of young people
in a practical and positive way.
The club is part of the silver award scheme. Each year eight members
of the club will be chosen
from the 11 -25 age range.
Club Treasurer and scheme organiser Paul Kehoe said that the scheme
would operate throughout the season with a monthly winner selected
from the club members. Coaches and players would be asked to nominate
a member from their age group or team. The winner will recieve
a framed certificate and £300 for the club.
The first award will be in September 2008
