Update on the Club’s VAT Situation...

Many BRFC members will know that we entered this year's close season facing a considerable VAT deficit.

Following specialist advice from an RFU appointed VAT consultant, and much hard work by our Treasurer, Peter McCarthy, the club was able to appeal the original HMRC assessment.

I am pleased to report that our appeal was successful and the original VAT assessment has been withdrawn. We no longer owe HMRC any money and in fact, we have had some previously paid VAT refunded.

This is a really great result for our club and I want to thank Peter for his considerable efforts over the summer to bring it about.
