Solid Start For the u11s

Last Sunday saw the start of our season kick off with a set of friendly games against Woodford. RFC.
We made it very friendly between both sides so we could all get used to the new rules while still keeping the rugby very competitive.

Richard Woodfords head coach reffed a set of games 10 mins each with quick coaching breaks and rolling subs. I thought both teams played really good rugby but Brentwood got the better of the opening few games scoring tries from Alexei, Alex F, and Johnny L.

Woodford did reply with a try and ( as always ) put up a very good test for our lads. More tries came from Daniel S , Conor and Alex F.
with Woodford also breaking through to score another try.

The real battle was won by our forwards, again Ash, James, Dan W and Owen also Tom's Hooking in the scrums one turn overs every time.
Although we have seen kicking come into the game it was very pleasing to see both sides still trying to play their way out from their try lines and the games never turned into end to end kicking.
We are starting to see massive strides from Metin, Daniel S and Ryan, along with all our players getting better every game,

the set of games ended with Brentwood in front by a few tries and been given a great work out by a very good Woodford side.
