Brentwood U11s put on a fine display

Last Sunday the U11s took a short trip to Thurrock rfc to play a triangular with Thurrock and Bancroft rfc. We had enough players to field two teams and so we kicked off feeling confident, team 1 Tom...Johnny...Louie...Mason...Adam...James......Owen...Metin...Jack...and Alfie
Team 2 ...Dobbie...Alex F...Conor...Zak...Dan S...Ashton...Jacob...Harry...and Dan W.
team 1 began well going two tries ahead with a fine break away try from Tom P and a well worked try that saw Johnny score after he's return from injury.. Shortly before half time Thurrock Scored and so we had to dig in and defend some sustained pressure which we did very well and went in at half time 2-1 ahead. Brentwood scored two more tries in the second half via a great run from Owen and a try from Mason to make it 4-1. There was a good reply from Thurrock to make it 4-2 and with no time left and Brentwood pushing Thurrock scored to make it 4-3 to Brentwood. Apart from the irritating last try we were always in control of the game and it was very pleasing to see contributions from the whole team.

Game 2 and 3 for team 1 were a little more comfortable and watching team 2 from the sidelines they really were on song. the ball going wide to bring in the pace of Alex F and Conor. Harry W was passing really well and bringing in the danger players. team 2 won 8-0 and
7-0. The last game we mixed up the teams and won 5-0. All in all a fine display from the Brentwood u11s
