This week will see another busy day at the club with the 1st XV entertaining league leaders Westcliff at King Georges with a 2pm KO. This will be preceded by the annual Coaches and Volunteers lunch with over 100 attending and if this isn't enough to get you down the club then how about the first Six Nations games with England playing Ireland at 4.45pm - all shown on the big screens plus food from behind the bar - what's not to love!
Days Schedule
11.30am - Bar opens and Lunch meet
12 Noon - Lunch sit down
2pm - Brentwood 1st XV vs Westcliff 1st XV
4.45pm - Ireland vs England
With a week off last week you can read all about the 1st XV win at Chelmsford on the website - if you weren't there you missed a cracker with Brentwood coming back from 27-15 down to win in the last minute. Man of The Match went to a returning Declan Gillette at Full Back.
This weeks game against Westcliff will be another tough one, Westcliff are unbeaten and sit at the top of the table with 13 wins and two draws. Back in October the reverse fixture was won by Westcliff with a last minute 45 meter drop goal 22-19 with Brentwood outscoring their hosts 3 tries to 1. It was a great game and i have no doubt that this Saturday will see another classic.
The 2nd XV also played against Chelmsford two weeks ago and ran out winners 28-12 against a mixed 2/3's Chelmsford side so well done boys. The whole club know that its been tough this year so to get any win is always good news.
Support is always very welcome so let's all make an effort and get down the club to support the boys, enjoy a tipple or two and then cheer on England!
