We only entered one team comprising of Angus, Archie, Austin, Fred, Holly, Josh, Ted and Toby.
The day started wet, just like last year, but brightened up and ended warm and sunny.
The players went into their first game against Westcliff and for once were awake and ready to play from the off. Just as well as Westcliff are never a push over – result a draw.
The upped their game and won the next two games against Colchester and Southend.
Sadly they lost their last pool game against a very good Sevenoaks, which meant they finished runners up in their group.
The runners up final against Braintree got under way about 2.30. The players did their best, but unfortunately just ran out of steam.
It was good to see all players scoring.
