
The club is in need of a number of volunteers to take up some very important and rewarding roles at the club along with one Paid/Profit Share role so if you think you are the right person or know someone for any of the below then please contact Elliot Shaw on 07814 020559 to discuss further.
Honorary Secretary
Purpose To provide an efficient administration service to the club, ensuring the club functions smoothly and effectively and be the main communication link between internal and external stakeholders, including the Committee, sub-committees, club members and other clubs/leagues Key aspects of the role
1. Manage and maintain record keeping; Manage all inward and outward club correspondence; Manage all legal and insurance matters, in conjunction with other relevant members.
2. Organize the AGM, Management Committee and club meetings, preparing agendas and paperwork, taking minutes and ensuring the distribution of the right paperwork to relevant individuals in the club.
3. Maintain communication between other bodies, Communicate any important matters between the RFU, CB and leagues, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the rules of each respective body and provide all details as necessary to the RFU and your CB. Is this role for you? If you are a capable manager who gets things done through strong communication, IT and delegation skills, as well as experience in administration and meeting procedures, you could hold a high profile and highly respected post in your club.
Match Day Lunch Coordinator
Help to organize match day lunches via email and personal contacts whilst liaising with Bar Manager and Kitchen staff on numbers/menus etc; Handling money and running a tight budget whilst communicating profits, numbers and ideas to the Exco Committee.
The club currently has 6 planned Presidents Lunches of up to 100 attendees during the season on Saturdays and you will need to be in attendance to collect monies and make sure everything is going smoothly.
Lunches are an integral part of the clubs season so a well organised social individual would be ideal
Match Day Volunteers Saturday/ Sunday
Parking
With the changes in the parking regulations by the council at King Georges the need for Volunteers to hand out parking badges to all arrivals from both home and away players and supporters is very important. this would suit two youngsters from the club for each Saturday and Sunday during the season for around 2 hours (to be confirmed) so crisps and drinks will be provided by the club!
In addition to these roles we are also looking for someone to take up the position of Commercial Manager which will be a profit share/paid role.
Commercial Manager
To become the focal point within the club on all commercial activity pertaining to Sponsorship for the overall club. As a sales/commercial individual you will be responsible for prospecting new sponsors and commercial agreements from the local/county wide area. There are some agreements already in place and these will also fall under your remit so organisation and a good head for business would be essential. You may have done this in another guise so any contacts you already have would be very useful but not essential.
