As I hope you know, the club has secured planning permission from Brentwood Council for new clubhouse and changing facilities at King George V Playing Fields.

After more than four years of hard work by the group of volunteers who served on the first clubhouse working group, the time has come to engage the wider membership in helping to plan and execute the next phase(s) of this critical project for the future of BRFC. We need volunteers who can contribute in two areas:
• Developing the specification of the building(s) compliant with building regulations and costing the construction work, and
• Raising the finance we need to build our new clubhouse and ensure that the ongoing operation of the new facilities is affordable.

We are calling an open meeting at the clubhouse at 8.00pm on 6th January for all club members and friends who want to know more about the detail of our plans so far. Attending the open meeting does not commit you to getting directly involved, but we do hope that a broad cross section of the club’s membership will attend and we can start to plan the serious business of implementation.

I hope you can make the meeting on the 6th January. I would welcome hearing from you ahead of the meeting if you have relevant expertise and want to get involved.
